Should car seat go behind driver or passenger?
Car Seat Positioning
Should you put your baby behind the driver or passenger, or in the middle? Although it sometimes depends on how many other kids you have seated in the car and where the seat fits best, in almost all cases your baby will be safest in the middle of the back seat.
Is the driver side or passenger side safer?
actually the drivers side is said to be about 13% and the passenger 11% so the passenger is slightly better but that is only from that study. Usually we suggest putting them on the passenger side so they will be unloaded safely onto the curb instead of into traffic.
Can you put 2 car seats next to each other?
Type of vehicle: In some cars, two car seats will not fit side-by-side in the back seat. In these situations, it is most important to have each car seat safely installed, even if they are placed on opposite ends. Also, larger vehicles may have rear bucket seats with benches in the last row.
When should you install car seat before baby?
Anytime between 35-37 weeks is a good time to install your infant (or convertible) seat in preparation for the big day. If you go into labor before 35 weeks, your baby will probably spend some time in the NICU, so you’ll have plenty of time to figure it out in the meantime.
